Stories by subject area
The subjects of the stories can be broke down into the school subject areas biology, chemistry and physics. However, some of the stories can be placed into bordering areas of two disciplines. These are especially useful for an in-depth treatment of the chosen subject and also to put an emphasis on the historical background and/or Nature of Science aspects.
The section biology contains – among other stories – narrations on nutrition and on the discovery and research of deficiency deseases.
The section chemistry provides you with stories on e.g. the periodic table of elements, discovery of mass preservation principle in chemical reactions and the development of the concepts of what an atom is.
The section physics deals with NOTHING – literally! You'll find here early ideas on what a vacuum is, the demonstration of artificial radioactivity and development and usage of the energy preservation principle.
